Challenge:

Pinon gear prematurely wearing out, creating high maintenance costs.

Transferred wear to the mating pinion instead of bull gear. Re-design pinion gear with high strength, self-lubricating polymer.

Result:

Pinion became the replacement gear with 12-15 month life, greatly reducing maintenance costs.
