In addition to hosting the machining proficiencies in-house for our gearing and gearbox services, we are a local source for small batch general machining projects. Dayton Gear has skilled machinists dedicated to general machining processes, which include CNC multi-axis turning and milling, EDM, CNC vertical milling and large diameter manual lathes. We machine materials that include alloy steel, bronze, plastic, and stainless steel.

Reverse Engineering

Precision analysis that reproduces exact results


No OEM prints? No problem. At Dayton Gear, we offer a complete suite of reserve engineering capabilities to step in and provide complete 2D drawings and 3D printed models, reproducing gears, splines, shafts, or other machine parts with precise accuracy. Additionally, we can recommend manufacturing modifications for better optimization of a broken part. Since we understand the importance of production and the cost of your downtime, we offer expedited services to get your daily operations back on track as quickly as possible. In most circumstances, our service engineers will respond within an hour of receiving a request for quote.
